This system consists of a Hydraulic cylinder, and air to oil intensifier, an oil reservoir and a double acting pneumatic cylinder, all combined into a compact, integral package. This design improves upon simple hydropneumatic cylinders in a few ways that make the approach stroke much smoother and consistent, while also reducing oil consumption. These factors have led to it being widely used in industries requiring small to medium size presses. The rapid pneumatic powered approach, followed by the high force developed by the hydraulic pressure gives the machine the versatility required to operate in a variety of fields. The lack of a hydraulic pump or external high-pressure hydraulic fittings prevent leaks and keeps maintenance to a minimum.

Brrit IS series Cylinders are available in 1 to 50 Ton models as standard, with power strokes upto 24mm for 1 to 30 Ton machines and upto 12mm for all models above 30 Tons. Longer strokes or higher tonnages are available as per customer request.
